Local authorities in the Mid East Region have come together to address their combined climate mitigation ambitions before the end of the decade
The new Mid East Energy Bureau will support the three local authorities in Wicklow, Kildare and Meath to meet their Energy Efficiency and Carbon Emission Targets for 2030. It will look to accelerate the development of energy management systems in each local authority across the region. The proposed bureau, with Wicklow as lead authority, will also provide strategic advice on a range of emerging national initiatives which include the new Climate Action Plans, Decarbonisation Zones and the National Circular Economy Program Local authorities in the Mid East Region have come together to address their combined climate mitigation ambitions before the end of the decade.
