A 38 year old man has been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with an incident in which two Gardaí were shot.
Daniel Goulding of Whitechapel Grove, Blanchardstown appeared before the local district court this morning charged with the unlawful possession of three guns and ammunition, and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The court was told Mr Goulding has been receiving psychiatric care for a number of years and was seen a number of times by a psychiatrist while in Garda custody.
He made no reply to the charges and is due to appear before Cloverhill District Court next Friday.
