A construction worker in the US state of Massachusetts was killed by his liquorice habit,

He ate a bag and a half of liquorice every day for several weeks.
Doctors in the US say the 54 year-old had dangerously low potassium levels, which led to his heart stopping.
Officials are warning consuming as little as 57 grams of the confectionary each day for two weeks could result in problems.
