Man Arrested After Drug Seizure In Ashford

As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí in Wicklow have seized €111,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb following a search operation at a residence in Ashford, Co. Wicklow.
At approximately midday on Saturday, 10th December 2022, Gardaí conducted a search under warrant at a residence in Ashford.
During the course of the search, a large quantity of suspected cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €111,000 was seized by Gardaí. The drugs are now subject to analysis by
Forensic Science Ireland
One man in his early 40s was arrested on Monday evening and detained at Wicklow Garda station  He has since been charged in relation to the seizure and is due to appear before Wicklow District court.
