Cigarettes and tobacco worth 3.8 million euro have been seized at Dublin Port this week.
Revenue officers discovered 3.5 million cigarettes and 3.9 tonnes of tobacco as a result of routine profiling.
They were labelled as engineering components and confectionery and both shipments originated in Germany.
