Council Advise Of Fallen Trees Around Wicklow

Council officials are working to remove fallen trees and debris around the county.

• First mobilisation today, wires down on the Cookstown road Enniskerry, please be careful in the area

• Arklow MD wishes to advise that the R-755 Ballyhad Bends, Laragh Road, Rathdrum  and the L-2140 Macreddin Road, Aughrim have been cleared. 

• Baltinglass Municipal District wishes to advise that the R725 between Shillelagh and Tullow is closed at Boley Bridge due to a fallen tree
• BMD staff are enroute and local diversions in place
• Fire Crew are on their way to “trees down” reported to be at Woodstock Road, Ballygarrett, Kiquade, please drive with caution in the area.
• Wires down on the Cookstown road Enniskerry, have been cleared by Bray crew, phone cables, “better safe than sorry”
• Baltinglass crew are just over the border in county Kildare at a “trees down” incident near Irongrang

• The Wicklow Fire Service have reported that the Wicklow County Council staff are currently dealing with incidents at the following roads: The L- 2190 Coolgreaney Road in Arklow, The R-755 Ballyhad Bends in Clara Vale and the R-755 Laragh Road in Rathdrum, and the L-2140 Macreddin Road, Aughrim.

• Baltinglass Municipal District wishes to advise that the L3216 Coolattin to Coolboy road is closed due to a fallen tree. BMD staff are on site and local diversions in place.
