It's being claimed her win over Belgian Delfine Persoon at New York's Madison Square Garden over the weekend, was a controversial points decision.
Persoon is to lodge an official complaint over the result.
Katie Taylor is due to touch down at Dublin Airport just before 10am.
Wicklow County Council is now considering immortalising Taylor in a statue in her hometown of Bray.
