Jury Fails To Reach Verdict In Trial Of Woman Accused Of Murder At Home Near Shillelagh

A jury at the Central Criminal Court has failed to reach a verdict in the case of a woman charged with the murder of a man at a house near Shillelagh.

Nicola Brennan, of no fixed abode, was charged with the murder of Juris Viktorovs, who was found stabbed to death at his home in a quiet cul de sac in Ballyconnell on the 10th of February last year.

The father-of-two from Lativia had come to Ireland and lived in Tullow in Carlow for six years before moving to West Wicklow shortly before his death.

Judge Mr Paul McDermott has remanded the accused in custody until the 24th of January when a date will be set for a new trial.
