Irish Water Safety Issues Warning Ahead Of Bank Holiday Weekend

People taking to activities at the seaside in Wicklow and around the country, are being urged to take extra care this bank holiday weekend.

Water Safety Ireland says a new moon on Monday will bring high tides and strong currents, and warns that while the air temperatures are warm, the waters around Ireland have not warmed up sufficiently for prolonged swims.
Lifeguards begin patrolling beaches this weekend.
