Irish Water has begun construction on a new reservoir in Saggart that will help to safeguard supplies to homes and businesses in the Greater Dublin Area.
The upgrade marks the first significant investment at the site since it was built in the 1950’s and will see a new waterworks system provide 100 million litres of treated drinking water from the Ballymore Eustace treatment plant in Kildare.
Construction on the project and associate pipelines is due to be completed within 3 years.
