Irish Water Asks Residents In Greater Dublin Area To Conserve Supplies After Pipe Burst

Irish Water says the cold weather has led to a surge in demand in recent days.

The public water network in the Greater Dublin area has experienced a higher than normal volume of burst pipes in recent days.

This is due to the thawing of lines following freezing temperatures.

The utility company is asking people to check for leaks and to only use what they need.

The advice is to conserve water where possible while maintaining public health guidelines on hand washing and hygiene.
