Two men armed with baseball bats chased a man down centre of Kilcoole village on Tuesday evening.
Gardaí in Wicklow say investigations are ongoing after an incident in Kilcoole on yesterday evening.
Two masked men reportedly chased another man through the village before the pursuit ended in a two-car crash.
The collision happened shortly before 6pm.
One vehicle overturned, but no serious injuries were reported.
The two men, who it's understood were carrying baseball bats, fled the scene on foot in the direction of Druids Glen.
Gardaí say they are "following a definite line of inquiry".
