Wicklow County Tourism with the support of Failte Ireland has commissioned a series of videos to showcase the sport of Trail Running.

The videos follow journalist and first-time trail runner, Siobhan O’Connor, on her journey to THE EcoTrail Wicklow event that will take place on the 24th September.

The first two episodes are available online at links below while the last episode will follow Siobhan on race day and should be released shortly after the event. 

• Episode 1:  Siobhan meets Nicola Cleary from Trail Running Ireland at Bray Seafront for a first trail running experience up Bray Head. This episode includes a short introduction to trail running shoes.

• Episode 2:  Siobhan and Nicola meet again at Belmont Demesne along the EcoTrail Wicklow route for further trail running experiences and tips.

EcoTrail Wicklow is scheduled annually for the last weekend in September. There are four distances to choose from 19k, 30k, 46k or 80k.
