The HSE says no formal decision has been taken yet to approve the sale of the site of a former nursing home, which provided care for residents in West Wicklow and Dublin west.
St Brigid’s on the Crooksling Nursing Home site in Brittas closed its doors last year.
Following objections from locals and public representatives, who claimed the site wasn’t the HSE’s to sell, Wicklow Councillor Gerry O’Neill says the Health Minister Stephen Donnelly put the sales process on hold, to allow time for alternative proposals for the site.
