The National Maternity Hospital will allow less restricted visiting for pregnant women's partners after a change to guidelines.
There's been a lot of backlash to issues around visitation since the beginning of the pandemic, with somey maternity facilities having issues with facilitating social distancing
Visiting for women in labour will be unrestricted at the Holles Street hospital in Dublin, as long as the pregnant woman is admitted to a bed.
While visiting for inpatients is unrestricted for partners or support people from 8am to 9pm Monday to Saturday.
