The health watchdog says there was improvements in compliance for children receiving care in Wicklow last year.
HIQA conducted an inspection in the Dublin South East and Wicklow service area over four days in September last year. Of the seven standards assessed, one was substantially compliant, five were found to moderately non-compliant and one was majorly non-compliant. The body found significant improvements were made in relation to the governance of the fostering and aftercare service. However, some management systems required development in order to support effective governance and oversight.
