The Heritage Council has allocated €42,000 in funding for five local projects in County Wicklow.
The funding under the Community Heritage Grant Scheme will help the Glendalough Heritage Forum create a large model of the monastic city at Glendalough, built entirely from LEGO bricks.
The Transport Museum Society will develop a paper archive conservation project, while the Arklow Maritime and Heritage Museum is being given funding toward creating an online digital archive.
Conservation work will also take place at the Wicklow Head Lighthouse while The Alfred Beit Foundation will work to repair an 18th century weir wall at Russborough.
