The Minister for Health, Wicklow T.D. Simon Harris says people coming home from infected areas abroad, should restrict their movements for two weeks, including not going to work and limiting their social interactions, to reduce the chance of spreading the Coronavirus.
He says people coming from areas like Spain and Italy will be given information when they arrive at the airport, however people coming back from Cheltenham won't have to self-isolate, but will be met by health staff.
Yesterday saw 27 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Republic, bringing the total to 70.
Minister Harris says the new measures for those returning make sense.
