 
                            The Health Minister Stephen Donnelly is coming in for criticism over what is being described as his contradictory message about restrictions at public events.
The Wicklow TD says he supports the Chief Medical Officer's assessment that events like Electric Picnic could go ahead for fully vaccinated people.
The event’s organiser Festival Republic is calling for Laois County Council to review its decision on the event today.
Three weeks ago the local authority rejected permission for the festival due to public health grounds.
Minister  Donnelly said while it’s unlikely that proof of vaccine would be required for All-Ireland finals in Croke Park, Cabinet would consider the proposal for other events:
