The Judicial Council will meet today to approve new guidelines on reducing personal injury awards.
Its expected to include cutting down on legal costs, quicker decisions and more predictable outcomes.
According to the Irish Times, the guidelines were prepared by a committee headed by Ms Justice Mary Irvine, and will pass with a majority vote.
The meeting will take place virtually and will be chaired the Chief Justice, Frank Clarke.
