A solidarity demonstration will take place in south Dublin this evening after a church in Ballyfermot received backlash for flying a Pride flag.
Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church flew the flag last week but was ordered to remove it by the Dublin diocese after a protest at the weekend.
The Ballyfermot Anti Racism Network will hold an event this evening which it says will celebrate and support the local LGBT community.
