The government will legally commit to a 51 per cent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in an updated version of the Climate Action Bill.

It will also commit in law to pursue and achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
However the Green Party's spokesperson on climate, TD Brian Leddin, says the targets will be difficult to achieve.
