A new 10 year government strategy aims to half the number of serious injuries and deaths on our roads by the end of the decade.
It includes reducing urban speed limits to 30 kilometres an hour, and a portal for footage of road traffic offences.
Over the next three years it's planned to eliminate incidences of unaccompanied learner drivers, as well as increasing segregated walking and cycling routes.
