Over 150,000 euro worth of government funding has been allocated for community centres and facilities in County Wicklow under the July stimulus package for 2020.
The funding will be provided under the Community Enhancement Programme, and is in addition to two million provided under that programme earlier this year.
Projects that benefited locally in 2019 include Men’s Sheds in Roundwood, Arklow, Wicklow Town and Baltinglass.
Over 350,000 euro has been provided to communities in rural and urban areas in Wicklow in previous rounds, supporting a total of 75 projects.
