Government Again Facing Calls To Implement Regional Restrictions

Three local electoral areas have Covid-19 incidence rates three times the national average.

Tullamore is the highest in the country, at 484 per 100,000 people, closely followed by Dublin's north inner city and Longford.
The data covers the two-week period that ended on Monday, when the country's rate was 148.
11 Local electoral areas had less than five cases during the 14 days, including two in Co Leitrim.
Sligo-Leitrim TD Marian Harkin says the government should consider regional restrictions in the coming weeks.
