Glenealy GAA has launched a fund-raising campaign today, as it moves forward with plans to expand and improve the clubs facilities.
Eight years ago the club purchased almost 21 acres at Ballyfree, opposite the local national school and the committee wants to push forward with its plans to provide better facilities. Today the club has launched a 10,000 ticket draw, with the winner walking away with a new house at the Anchor in Wicklow town and a Volkswagen Golf Hybrid. The Draw is due to take place on the 2nd of January.
Club chairman Seamus O’Neill says they have some work done in their expansion programme but there is a lot more to do.
Speaking at the launch of their fundraising draw, he said it should be a very Happy New Year for one lucky ticket holder.
