Gardai in Wicklow Town have said a traffic light system will be updated following reports of erratic timings.
The lights at the Aldi and Clermont junction in Rathnew appear to be favouring the minor road rather than the main road.
Council engineers have been in touch with the company who supplied the lights over its current sequence.
While no exact timeframe has been given for the update, it will take place shortly.
In the meantime, motorists are being urged to exercise caution in the area.
