Gardai say a man in his sixties, who was seriously injured following a collision on the Rathnew to Glenealy road last Monday, passed away yesterday.
The man sustained serious injuries while carrying out works on the road, and was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in a critical condition. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
The Health and Safety Authority were notified and attended the scene due to the incident being a workplace accident.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.
