Gardai in Baltinglass are investigating two incidents in the town which they believe could be connected
Last Wednesday the 10th of July, a property was broken into in Parkmore, while a short time later, an elderly woman was attacked by a man who knocked her to the ground and stole her handbag.
The second incident happened as the pilgrim statue of Saint Michael was being welcomed into Saint Joseph’s church in Baltinglass.
The woman who is in her 70’s was making her way to the event after parking at Weaver's square when she was attacked.
Gardai are anxious to trace the movements of a Lexus Saloon vehicle which they believe was used in both incidents.
