Gardai have begun night-time air patrols in Wicklow to prevent Christmas trees being stolen.
Operation Hurdle is underway in the garden county, which has Ireland's largest concentration of festive fir plantations.
The initiative has been running every Christmas since 2012 to prevent raids by criminal gangs on some of the country's most successful Christmas tree farms.
