Further Easing Of Restrictions Today For Indoor Events And Mass Gatherings

Organised indoor events and mass gatherings can resume today, as part of a significant easing of Covid restrictions.

They can operate at 60 per cent capacity if all adults are fully vaccinated, or have recovered from the virus.
Live music also returns to bars and weddings, while all religious ceremonies can go ahead with 50 per cent capacity.
And the cap on outdoor events rises to 75 per cent - if all adults are Vaccinated against Covid.
Confirmations and communions are also allowed to resume today.
Masses were capped at 50 people until now - or pods of 50 in bigger churches.
But that changes significantly today - as they return to half-capacity.
