The grants will be provided to 9 Wicklow based Community Groups.
Taoiseach Simon Harris has welcomed this funding saying it will have a hugely positive impact on people’s physical and mental health well being and will also promote these trails as tourist attractions.
Over €1 million is being invested in 517 walking trails nationwide.
