Wicklow County Council has been allocated €167,980 under the Rural Water Programme.
The funding from the department of housing, will largely support infrastructure improvements for Group Water Schemes in rural areas.
Following an assessment process, Minister Eoghan Murphy has approved 621 projects for funding totaling over 54 million euro.
