Poor weather conditions are expected to hit Ireland this coming Thursday.
Met Eireann is forecasting wet and windy conditions with heavy showers and fresh to strong, southeasterly winds across parts of Wicklow, as gales develop along southern coasts.
Derek McAllister from Wicklow Weather says it will be blustery and wet but at this stage it doesn’t look like it will get any worse than that.
Meanwhile a status yellow thunderstorm warning has been issued for nine counties in the south and east.
Met Eireann is warning of heavy showers with the risk of lightning and hail in Wicklow, Carlow, Dublin, Kilkenny, Louth, Meath, Wexford, Cork, and Waterford.
the warning will stay in place until 8pm this evening.
