Wicklow is set to have two new fire stations by 2023.
The first will be located in Baltinglass and is due to be built in 2022, while Dunlavin will have its new fire station by 2023.
Construction is estimated to take between 6-9 months to complete.
As part of a Sixty-one million euro investment invested in the fire service over the next five years, each county in the country will also receive at least 1 new fire engine by 2025.
The investment will see 6 new fire stations built nationwide, and will continue to support the construction of 12 new fire stations that were previously announced.
