People before Profit's Bríd Smith has hit out at the Finance Minister Pascal Donoghue for what she says was his "eulogising of the Government's policy of raising carbon taxes on ordinary people, as their best response to the Climate Crisis in light of the IPCC report on Climate change earlier this week.
The Government is expected to publish a plan to address global warming next month. But Brid Smith says Minister Donoghue is targeting the poorest to pay for climate change measures while allowing rich corporations to escape any penalties.
