Farmers Journal Report Shows Price of Farmland In Wicklow Increases By 23%

Mayo and Carlow saw the biggest increase in farmland prices, according to new research from the Irish Farmers Journal.

That's one of the findings from the latest Irish Farmers Journal's annual Agricultural Land Price Report.

Sheep farmers paid the lowest price per acre in 2022 for farms.

Geographically Leinster had the highest average price per acre followed by Munster.

The county breakdown found farmland in County Mayo shot up by 78% in price last year.

Carlow, Monaghan and Wicklow had the next biggest increases.

Land prices in Northern Ireland are also at record highs in all six counties.
