The Department of Education has granted Woodbrook College funding for a substantial extension to their premises in North Wicklow.
The school board had made a request to increase capacity to accommodate the growing school population in the Bray area.
Among the extension works include the construction of 13 general classrooms, a music room, two science labs and extra space to cater for those with special educational needs.
The move comes as the Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris continues to look for online feedback in relation to the shortage of places available for students in the garden county.
