Representatives from the industry met with the Arts Minister yesterday, calling for a date for reopening to be announced. The meeting also heard a request from Minister Catherine Martin to sit on the Cabinet sub-committee on Covid was denied.
Meanwhile hospitality groups say Covid restrictions should be aligned with Northern Ireland to improve tourism.
Industry figures say differences between the two jurisdictions is causing confusion, such as the requirement to produce proof of vaccination to dine indoors, which is needed in the Republic, but not the North.
