The Environmental Protection Agency says the public's health is being put at risk by the current drinking water arrangements.
It will appear before an Oireachtas committee today to discuss the recent failures at the Gorey and Ballymore Eustace plants. The watchdog will say it has discovered similar incidents around the country recently, with a delay in notifying health officials of problems.
