Eir, the main provider of fixed-line and mobile telecommunications services in Ireland, says its 5G network is now available in 14 locations across Wicklow, with national coverage of the network now reaching more than 70% of the population of Ireland.
Arklow, Ashford, Baltinglass, Roundwood and Tinahely are among the locations in the Garden county where the 5G network is available .
The rollout of 5G began in October of 2019.
The company just two years later the network now spans 336 towns and cities, across 1,110 sites.
