€50,000 has been granted to Knockananna National School for footpath works, while €50,000 has also been granted to Rathcoyle National schoool for the development of a Multi Use Games Area.
The funding is provided by the Department of Rural and Community Development, through a targeted investment programme, which provides finance for small-scale infrastructural projects in rural areas, that have suffered the greatest levels of population decline.
