A man in his twenties has been arrested after cocaine and cannabis valued at approximately €45,000 was seized today during a garda search of a property in Roundwood, Co Wicklow.
A man in his twenties has been arrested after cocaine and cannabis valued at approximately €45,000 was seized today during a garda search of a property in Roundwood, Co Wicklow.
Members attached to the Wicklow Detective Unit, Wicklow Divisional Search Team and the Dog Unit executed a search warrant at the premises located in Roundwood earlier in the day on Thursday, August 22.Cannabis estimated to be worth €40,000 and cocaine worth €5,250 were seized by gardaí in the course of the operation, while further drug paraphernalia items were also seized.
A man has been arrested under Section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act at a garda station in the Eastern region.The seized drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for further analysis and investigations remain ongoing.
