Dubliners are being asked to stay within their own county and limit social contacts from today as part of new measures aimed at stopping the spread of cornonavirus.
The capital's on level two of the new five-tier alert system with the rest of the country, but is under additional restrictions due to higher rates of the virus.
It comes as the Health Minister, Wicklow T.D. Stephen Donnelly confirmed last night he has tested negative for Covid-19.
He started to feel sick yesterday afternoon and was tested for the virus - forcing his cabinet colleagues to restrict their movements for a time.
