A Councillor in Arklow says a coastal walk on the north side of the town will receive funding, despite claims yesterday by Wicklow T.D. John Brady it was overlooked by the Department of Rural and Community Development.
Councillor Pat Fitzgerald says the council has applied for funding of €115,000 under the “Outdoor Recreation and Infrastructure scheme” which requires matched funding from the council of €28,700
Councillor Fitzgerald said the council hasn’t received a decision on this application yet but that he is confident that a positive one is expected shortly.
