Concerns have been raised about the ongoing burning of lands within the Wicklow Mountains National Park.
The Irish Wildlife Trust says given the poor state of upland habitats, it is harmful to burn peat lands and represents a failure of land management.
Campaigners have called on park officials to implement measures that would restore the degraded landscapes and move away from sheep grazing.
