It follows the release of figures by the Department of Justice showing a 43% drop in the county.
Wicklow Councillor, Jennifer Whitmore says it means the number of Community Gardai in the county has fallen from 23 in 2010, to 13 now.
She says Community Gardai play a vital role in discovering and preventing crimes and their visibility gives people, especially the elderly a safe feeling.
She’s called for those in authority to ensure the decline in numbers is addressed.
