Gardai in Wicklow have responded to concerns that mobile home owners at a caravan park in Brittas Bay have been allowed access to the facility.
More than two weeks ago, all holiday mobile home and caravan parks were told to close. However a number of locals have expressed concern that Potters Point Caravan Park has reopened.
Several public representatives also made contact with Gardai yesterday regarding the claims that is now open. In response Gardai say around 20 mobile homes are occupied and that have been told they must self isolate until next Tuesday.
However Wicklow TD John Brady says that’s not good enough and where people have broken the 2 kilometre distance rule, or if a caravan park is breaching the regulations, then gardai should enforce the new measures they've been given.
