Coilte Sees Increase In Visitor Numbers Since Easing Of Covid Restrictions

More than 20,000 people headed to the organisation's four woodlands in Wicklow between June and early August, at Ballinastoe, Crone and Devil’s Glen recreation forests and Avondale forest park.

It’s a substantial increase on the figures between April and May.

Coillte, which has its headquarters in Newtownmountkennedy is the  leading provider of outdoor recreation activities in Ireland with more than 3,000 kilometres of trails, 260 recreation sites and 12 forest parks across the country.
