Further road closures have been confirmed in the Tinahely area by Wicklow County Council
Wicklow County Council has confirmed that a number of local roads remain closed due to structural damage as of Friday morning. (January 30th)
Met Éireann has warned that any additional rainfall, particularly in southeastern, northeastern and eastern areas, could cause further river flooding.
A Status Yellow rainfall warning for counties Carlow, Dublin, Kilkenny, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford comes into effect at midday, pushed back from 9am. The alert is valid until midnight.
These road closures include:.....
The L7251 Gowle Road between Killabeg and Clonmore in Coolkenna, along with the L7245 Ballynultagh Road between Shillelagh and Ballynultagh.
The L7740 from Killinure to Money Road in Coolkenna is closed, as is the L7235 Money to Parkbridge Road at Moylisha and Newry.
In addition, the L7744 Tomnafinoge Road in Coolboy, the L7233 from Ballard Cross to Boley Road in Shillelagh, and Ballysilloge Lane at Knockananna are closed to traffic.
Separately, the R749 on Quarry Street in Shillelagh has been closed between Shillelagh and Ballynultagh due to flooding.
Wicklow County Council says other high-risk locations are being monitored and motorists are advised to avoid affected areas and drive with caution.
